The title of the Hourglass Book was given because it exhibits the rank of classes in it. The chronology also contains a supplementary section that has different content in different editions. Usually, there are morning prayers, which are read before the midpoint, the act of elevating the panagia, blessing the table, the canon of the Virgin, composed by the monk of the Teostrikt, the prayers for those who go to bed, the tropars and condoms, the Blessed Virgins who conclude the rapture and the tramp. The Great Hour is also added to the Mesechesis. The Little Hour is the shortening of the Great. These abbreviations only concern supplementation.
