Sewadisha is a social initiative aimed at empowering individuals and communities through sustainable development and social welfare activities. The term "Sewadisha" is derived from the combination of two Hindi words: "sewa" meaning service and "Disha" meaning direction or path.

Large numbers of Seva Karyas are being run throughout the country through the inspiration of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The number of Seva Karayas and their diversity is also increasing every year, vis a vis the number of karyakartas, sevit, and seva Jan is mutually increasing with the encouraging results of the Sevakaryas. Conveying this information to the swayamsevaks and the karyakartas spread all over the country, engaged in these works, is as important as it is to convey the same to the opinion leaders, government officers, and planners, media representatives, and those helping and assisting in these sevakaryas and other voluntary service agencies. Bearing this in mind, this information is collected, compiled, and published in the form of “SevaDisha” since 1995.
