The Act put restriction on tobacco products including cigarettes, gutka, pan masala (containing tobacco), cigar, cheroot, Beedi, Snuff, chewing tobacco, hookah, and tooth powder containing tobacco.
It provides protection to non-smokers from involuntary exposure to tobacco smoke.
