The aim of the game is to loose all of your own cards that you have got at the beginning of a round as soon as possible. As sooner you got lost your cards as more points you will gain - the last player gets no points. The player with the highest score is the new president, the one who got nothing is the loser. How many points the several positions will gain depends on the number of players.
