Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (MESC), lay faithful, not ordained, who collaborate with the Sacred Ministers in the distribution of Holy Communion in Parishes, Shrines, Chapels, Hospitals, the sick in the houses and in various places within the Church, in a manner that the ineffable gift of the Eucharist be more and more known and that all may participate in its salvific efficacy. MESC in the service of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who has deigned to possess the charisms of Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament and to care for the sick, elderly and the most needy in the distribution of Holy Communion, we serve with love and faith to go to all places where the Lord to send us, helped to spread the Gospel through the gifts He has given us and in this liturgical service to respond to the objective needs of the faithful who wish to receive Holy Communion.
This charge is supplementary and extraordinary and must be exercised according to the universal legislation of the Church and in calling on all members of the Mystical Body to participate actively in the mission and building up of the People of God we have developed the MESC Application, a technological tool that comes to us help the exercise of this evangelizing mission.
The MESC Application of the Archdiocese of Curitiba offers important assistance in the communication of the Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion of Curitiba and Metropolitan Region, with a variety of channels and functionalities, this tool comes to contribute to the mission of the Church.
