Menopause is a normal part of aging women. Menopause is the time when a woman experiences her last menstrual period as a part of normal ageing, and the ovaries run out of eggs, or ova. There is a large drop in the production of oestrogen by the ovaries at menopause, and the resulting fall in hormones can affect many other organ systems.
