In June of 1973, Dellview Baptist Church in San Antonio sponsored a Vacation Bible School in the Bulverde area to determine possible interest in planting a church. This Vacation Bible School was held at the home of Bonnie and Mike Cejka with the help of Gay Morgan, Madeline Sellars, Marilyn Rohlmeier, and Mary Jane Witte. As a result of the success of this Vacation Bible School, a decision was made to launch a church. The first Sunday service of Bulverde Baptist Mission was held August 26, 1973
