What are the novenas? Novena is a gathering for prayers held during the nine days. It had its origin in the Catholic Tradition. It is usually performed as devotion manifestation of the Almighty God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), or the Virgin Mary, angels and saints. The number 9 also has a special meaning in Catholic worship, to be equal to the square of 3, this number considered perfect because it is related to the Holy Trinity. So, over the nine days of the novena, praises three times each
