Sri Koil Kanthadai Sudhasatvam Sirupuliyur Thiruvazhi Annan Swamy Thirumaligai is one of the oldest Sri Vaishnava religious institution. This thirumaligai follows the Thenkalai tradition of Sri Vaishnava culture.

The thirumaligai traces its roots to Sri Komandur Elayavilli Achan, one of the 74 Simhaasanapathis appointed by Sri Ramanujar. He is also one of the maternal cousins (son of mother's sister) of Sri Ramanujar similar to Sri Embar.
