The Biography of the Prophet by Ibn Hisham is a book on the prophetic biography of the Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of Islam, and it is considered one of the most important books on the Prophet’s biography and its main sources. It is a book by Abu Muhammad Abd al-Malik bin Hisham bin Ayyub al-Himyari al-Basri, who died in the year (218 AH), narrated by him on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq (d. 151). e), after he took permission for his narration from Ziyad bin Abdullah al-Bakai (d. 183 AH), and Ibn Hisham made some additions and deletions to Ibn Ishaq, as he refined it, and Ibn Hisham deleted many of the Israelite stories and plagiarized poetry until the biography became known. In the name of Ibn Hisham, researchers paid attention to it, and many explanations and abbreviations were written about it


Ibn Hisham said: And I, God willing, will begin this book by mentioning Ishmael bin Abraham, and whoever begot the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace. His children, and their children by their descendants, the first to the first, from Ishmael to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, and whatever comes from their hadith, And he abandoned mentioning others from the descendants of Ishmael, in this regard for brevity, to the hadith of the biography of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he abandoned some of that. Ibn Ishaq saw it in this book, which the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, did not mention, and nothing of the Qur’an was revealed about it. And it is not a reason for anything in this book, nor an explanation for it, nor a witness to it. Because of the brevity I mentioned, and the poems he mentioned, I have not seen anyone from Does the knowledge of poetry know it, and some of the things are shameful to talk about, and some of them people do not mention well, and some of them Al-Baki did not admit to us. By his narration We will explore, God Almighty willing, what other than that is due to the extent of his narration and knowledge of it.
