Oil palm is a heavy feeder of nutrients. It responds very well to resource management especially water and nutrients. For achieving site yield potential in oil palm, site specific soil and leaf analysis based nutrient management is the right approach. Even if nutrient analysis results are available for soil and leaf samples, generating nutrient management advisories needs a special skill considering optimal nutrient ranges of leaf and soil nutrient contents of that particular location.
