About App
The Palestinian Virtual Museum is an App that is developed to support the distance learning process in Palestine during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The App provides information on the Palestinian cultural heritage using archaeological objects that date back to different periods starting from the Stone Age until the end of the British mandate over Palestine in 1948.
The App provides an overview of five main historical periods and selects carefully archaeological objects that represent the selected periods. The objects are human made tools that were used in the daily life practices since millennia. These objects are exhibited in high quality 3d photogrammetry that allows the user to move, handle and see all the details of the magnificent objects.
A summary on each object describes the shape, color, material and use in addition to the place where the object was found in Palestine. The user can listen to an audio narration for this summary which provides an interesting atmosphere while observing the details of the objects.
