During the Great War, Vignacourt is an important logistics site for the French army and its allies. Louis and Antoinette Thuillier, photography enthusiasts, will photograph soldiers from all over the world passing through their farm. In 2010 an Australian channel Channel Seven discovers in the attic of the farm 4,000 photographic plates. Conscious of the exceptional character and the historical value of the collection, the French and Australian authorities now wish to promote it. Vignacourt 14-18 and its interpretation center welcomes you in the renovated farm, dedicated to the valuation of the Thuillier collection. An exhibition of portraits tells the story of the life behind the front, a story full of humanity, where the story allows to have another look at the great story.
