Tinnitus App by Cleanhearing is designed to relieve tinnitus symptoms by notching downloaded music files to the user's individual tinnitus frequency. Tinnitus can result from abnormal firing of neurons in regions of the brain, and research has shown that listening to notched music can address this neuronal hyperactivity to relieve tinnitus distress. The user calculates or enters his/her tinnitus frequency using the frequency calculator, and saves it to the app. The app then removes or 'notches'
