The Mukta Caritra has been written around 1550, a beautiful and nectarine poetry describing the the Pearl Story lila. In this book Srila Raghunatha Dasa Goswami describes, The day of Diwali, in the month of Karthik, when Krishna,Srimati Radharani, the gopis, and the cowherd boys assembled together at Malyahara kunda, Krishna explains to the gopis that pearls grow in the fileds, if one plants them properly. Nobody believes it of course, and Krishna finally manages to get hold of some valuable pearls and plants them in the ground, and it really happens that, there grew upmany new pearls.
