Al-Qadr (Arabic: القدر - Predestination) is the ninety-seventh sura of the Qur'an. Meccan Sura. Consists of 5 verses.

This Surah speaks of the dignity of the Qur'an and the night on which it was revealed, and indicates that it is better than a thousand months and that angels and Djibril descend that night at the behest of their Lord to fulfill his commands. On this night, peace reigns and there is no harm or evil until the dawn.
