Nirvana is the name of a band from the City of Aberdeen, Washington, United States, then finally they get success in Seattle City, United States, which is famous for the flow of grunge music, or also known as Seattle Sound. The band has many followers or loyal fans in Indonesia, especially in the underground music community.

Nirvana began to be popular, and known to the world since the release of their album, Nevermind, with the singles favored Smells Like Teen Spirit, the single made them the Best Alternative / Rock Band trophy and occupied the first chart on Billboard America. Nirvana consists of Krist Novoselic, Kurt Cobain, and Dave Grohl. The band broke up after Kurt Cobain committed suicide from an overdose after sucking cocaine in his residence in 1994.
