Divya Desam Temples are the 108 Vishnu temples that are described in the literature of the Tamil Azhvars (saints). "Divya" stands for "premium," and "Desam" stands for "location" (temple). The last two, Thirupalkaddal and Paramapadam, are located beyond the earthly realms. Of the 108 temples, 105 are located in India, one in Nepal, and two elsewhere.
