In the north of the province of Jaén, in the foothills of Sierra Morena and El Rumblar, a few kilometres from the municipality of Baños de la Encina, we find the Argaric settlement of Peñalosa. Dated in II Millennium B.C, we can say of it, that it is one of the most significant archaeological mineral-metallurgical sites of the Bronze Age of the Iberian Peninsula.
