Meri Gram Panchayat (MyGP) mobile application for State Election Commission to facilitates in forming the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI)/ Gram Panchayats at District level - Complete Electoral Process to form Gram Panchayats by way of election, henceforth empowering the Panchayati Raj Institutions PRI by inclusion of the ICT enabled process for enabling transparency in the whole of the electoral process & also strengthen the State Election Commission in the respective states.
Main features/components of this application are:
(1) Know Your Candidate (KYC) – The citizen has the right to know the details about the candidates who has filed nomination for contesting the election. This includes his educational qualification, past records including criminal record if any, property assets, financial conditions etc by virtue of filing the affidavit.
