The Laka language is spoken in the Gore subprefecture region, Lam Mountains department, Baïbokoum subprefecture; Gore subprefecture, Ngadjibian, Békan, and Timberi cantons (Mang dialect), Bessao and Pandzangué cantons south of Moundou (Bémour dialect), Ngamadja-Dodang II and the Bessao-Oudoumian region.
