Shri Vishnu Ji, the protector of the universe is one of the trinity gods of Hinduism comprising of Brahma Ji and Shiva Ji. He is also known by the names of Narayana Ji, Hari. Before the universe was created, Vishnu Ji is believed to have been asleep in a vast sea of nothingness. Vishnu Ji is famous for his incarnations known as avatars. Being the protector of the universe, his incarnations are responsible to protect the world from evil powers and prevail peace and order.

Shri Vishnu Ji has incarnated nine times. The tenth incarnation, Kalki, is believed to arrive close to the end of the world. Garuda, the mythological bird is his vehicle/vahan. His consort is Maa Lakshmi Ji or Sri, Goddess of Wealth and Fortune. Their abode is Vaikuntha. It is said that Vishnu Ji is the god of Time, Space and Life. It is also said that he is the God of Joy and that his footsteps are impregnated with infinite sweetness and felicity.
