Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay (30 March 1899 - 22 September 1970) was an Indian Bengali writer. He was born in his maternal uncle's house in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Sharadindu started his career as a screenwriter in Bombay Talkies in Bombay in 1936. He left the film industry in 1952 and started living permanently in Pune.
