FAAB is focused on profiting from agriculture the most responsibly and sustainably possible. We do this by optimizing our resources, increasing our efficiency and consistency, running data-driven operations, implementing creative solutions, as well as utilizing current management tools.
Our goal is to maximize our production per area.
We at FAAB minimize Agri-input consumption by using science-based agricultural and irrigation approaches.
The world population is estimated to reach 10 billion by the year 2050. This is over 3 billion more than what it was in 2010. Because of this steady increase in population, food security is becoming the topmost priority for all global communities worldwide.
According to the World Resources Institute, we will need 56% more food than we had in 2010 to feed this explosion in the human population. Agricultural activities must be doubled to meet this demand.
To do this, we must concentrate on increasing the yield of our crops, the cropping intensity, or expanding existing agricultural land. Currently, one in every five hectares of land on Earth is unusable.
According to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), over 90% of the earth’s soil could become degraded by 2050 leading to catastrophic crises worldwide including food and water shortages, droughts and famines, adverse climate changes, mass migrations, and unprecedented rates of species extinction.
Hence, rather than expanding existing agricultural land, we must concentrate on increasing yield and cropping intensity
