The shortage of term-signs in sign languages, and in particular in Libras, for existing concepts in several areas of technical-scientific knowledge has been responsible for preventing integration of the deaf student into the academic environment and into the world of skilled work.

In order to solve this problem, the digital platform SignWeaver was developed within the framework of the Interdisciplinary Research in Multimedia Information Laboratory (Piim-Lab) of CEFET-MG, offering a simple and engaging environment to support the creation, dissemination and maintenance of bilingual glossaries produced by the deaf community.
