About App
The Stressdown app is aimed at students at the FernUniversität in Hagen. Anyone interested can use it free of charge. The app is designed as a self-learning tool and offers information on the subject of stress as well as exercises and instructions for the practical application of various strategies for coping with stress. The selection of content is based on currently proven and scientifically sound stress management methods, such as those found in health promotion courses or self-help books. Here, the focus is not only directed to burdens and challenges, but also given space for positive experiences and personal resources are looked at. Regular use of the app should help to reflect the stresses and to recognize one's own resources and options for action. Filling out various scales and text entry fields helps you deal with your own stresses and competencies. Entered data will only be saved on the device and will not be forwarded. Alternatively, a piece of paper and a pen can also be used. By putting together exercises from different areas of stress management, coping strategies can be tested for different loads. In this way, an individual way can be found to actively meet them. The aim of the Stressdown app is to contribute to greater well-being and serenity in distance learning.
Stressdown consists of four areas:
- The stress training as the "heart" of the app contains a total of five lessons, in which as little knowledge as possible about stress and stress management is provided, as well as practical exercises tailored to this.
