Serra azul FM radio, was officially born on July 14, 2003, by the founder José Rosemberg Fialho with the Association of Friends of Nova Esperança do Piriá. Bringing the innovation of communication in the municipality of Nova Esperança do Piriá, only 12 years old, with transmission, remotely and wirelessly.

It began to operate, with a transmitter at frequency 104.9 in a small radio studio, which with a thin wire antenna picked up voices and sounds coming from the air.
