Chalisa is a form of a prayer in Hinduism, in which there are forty verses in praise of the God. Chalisa of different deities are very popular among devotees and it is believed that a common man can get the blessings of his deity (God) by reciting the Chalisa with devotion. The chalisas are in Hindi and hence anyone can pronounce them easily, whereas the mantra are in Sanskrit and are difficult for common man to recite.

Lord Shri Vishnu is one of the principal deities of Hinduism, and the Supreme Being in its Vaishnavism tradition.He is also known as Narayana, Jagannatha, Vasudeva, Vithoba, and Hari. He is one of the five equivalent deities worshipped in Panchayatana puja of the Smarta Tradition of Hinduism.
