MadXXO is based on Tic-Tac-Toe (also known as Xs and Os, or noughts and crosses). However, unlike the over 3000 years old predecessor, in MadXXO one does not place Os and Xs until the whole board is filled. There can only be exactly three Xs and three Os placed.
